Your booking reference is a 7 digit alphanumeric code that I think will start with E. For example EX74DF6/
Have you tried your easyJet Holidays booking reference?
Yes unfortunately that does not work. I have not got a reference starting with EX. Would everyone on the same flight have the same flight reference number?
Thanks, so is the easy jet flight reference just the flight number?

No your easyJet flight reference will be unique to your booking.
As easyJet Holidays say, you get two reference numbers one beginning with "1" which is your easyjet Holidays booking number, then a second which is your easyJet flight booking. The easyJet flight one is a 7 digit alphanumeric code (it doesn't necessarily start EX, although I think they may all start E).
Just an update. On hold for 45 mins. Not too bad. They have not issued flight reference numbers yet so to wait out for an email. Thanks everyone for your help.

Thanks for the feedback. I think all the advice was based on how easyjet bookings 'normally' work. Generally you'd have got the reference immediately. I think maybe now they're waiting to see how viable flights are before confirming.
