EASY JET NO ANSWER!

Hi I had a London trip planned for me and my kids in May. I spend hours on hold waiting for an answer to cancel and get a refund. I have tried every couple of days for 3 months never got through! longest phone call was 4 hours...I had no choice but to pay £60 and change the dates as I would have lost my money. I have rebooked to October. However my disabled son is now too scared to travel due to Covid 19. I still can't get through to Easy jet and am at a loss how I would ever get a refund for all the costs I have paid out. Any advice appreciated ( literally pulling my hair out with stress over this! I am also out of work so every penny counts.

Easyjet wont give you a refund just because one of your party simply doesn't want to go.0

why did you think you would lose your money?suzR01 said:I had no choice but to pay £60 and change the dates as I would have lost my money. I have rebooked to October.
Easyjet are challenging to get through to but, I eventually got through 3 weeks after the flights were meant to depart and refund was issued in a few days...they had stated you could apply for refund up to 12 months after departure date.

Hi Suz, where are you flying from? It is probably too early to say what your options will be in October. If, by any chance, any countries go back into Lockdown then you may be able to postpone your flights till next year but nobody knows what will happen yet. Only thing is don't jump too quickly. You would undoubtedly have been refunded for your May flight which was ultimately cancelled if you had been patient. Check on your flights nearer the time. Or check to see what you would have to pay at this moment to cancel completely. You could also check your insurance. Unlikely they will cover you for flights that are going ahead but there may be some medical inclusion relating to your son?suzR01 said:Hi I had a London trip planned for me and my kids in May.
