How much is my car worth

Hi, I have a 59 Reg Citroen C3, standard model with nothing fancy added. Bought it for £2k, two years ago. The head gasket is going, I’ve put SteelSeal in it twice but it’s not going to hold it much longer. It also has a slow oil leak, and some minor advisories on its last MOT (done in February). I’ve just got a new car so want to sell the Citroen. Is it worth me getting the repairs done first? If I sell it as it is, without repairing it, what sort of price could I expect to get for it? Thanks

Don’t repair it. Stick it on EBay with every single one of the faults declared. (That’s the really important bit). Set the start price low.

If you repair it you’ll probably struggle with an 11 year old car which isn’t a rarity to make the repair price back so you’ll lose money.

Edit; the cheapest 59 plate C3 on EBay right now with no listed issues is 950, albeit from a dealer. Logically then yours with the issues is worth less than that. However, with the cost of a new head gasket etc will you make 950 plus repair costs? Unlikely IMO

Disagree with the above advice. A headgasket repair is normally in the £300-£400 range. Slow oil leaks aren't really much to be concerned about and if it's from the cam cover then the headgasket repair will cure it at the same time as they'll have to replace the cam cover gasket too.
Whilst you may struggle to make the repair cost back it'll be cheaper than spending £950 on a car from a dealer "with no known issues" which is a lie and at least you've got a car whose faults and history you know whereas with anything you buy in the sub £2k range it'll be a gamble.

They've already bought the replacement car.

Put your details in here for a valuation.
Take off £400/£500 and thats your value. Getting that value could be very difficult. My car was a bargain, £2,500 on ebay, online valuation = £4,000
So if you get within £300 of the valuation minus the £400/£500 you have done well.

If it hasn't got any or very little service history and has a few dents/dinks/scratches  etc just put it on ebay and list all faults

The OP has bought a new car
They want to sell their old car the C3
The C3 has some issues, notably the head gasket will need replacing
I think the question is should they repair and sell or just sell as is?
I wouldn't think it a good idea to spend £300 on a car that isnt worth much more than that.
As suggested e-bay or scrap it

OP got two years out of the car for £2k original cost.  It has now given up.
OP should sell the car as anything they get for it is a bonus.  Sell as "spares or repair" and it is up to the next buyer what happens to it.  Set the minimum acceptable sale value as either WBAC or scrap value (whichever is higher).
