Self-employment grant.

Hi there.Don’t know if this has been discussed before but here goes. Currently off atm and received the first grant for self employment, but now have chance of going back to work this week. Just lookIng for some information regarding if I go back will I still be eligible for the seconds grant in august. Just not want to go back for a weeks work if that then rules me out for it.

As long as you meet the eligibility criteria “on or after the 14 July” you can claim the second SEISS payment.

You should go back to work.

  The SEISS grant always allowed you to work in addition to receiving the grant.

The criteria for the second SEISS grant is that the business is adversely affected after 14th July.  If you only have one week of work available, that doesn't prevent you also being adversely affected.  Hopefully, though, the one week of work will grow so the adversely affected will cease to apply.

Thanks. I was just looking for some information as I didn’t want to go back for a weeks work and things are slow and then I’m back in the house and have cost myself the grant. Also I have been effected from the start up until potentially this week. . Thanks for your reply’s.
