Advice on laptop battery replacement

I hope you can give me some advice on replacing the battery in my laptop. I bought a HP Envy in 2014. I am getting a message on startup that the battery needs replacing.
I looked on the bottom of the laptop and there is no sticker denoting the battery type. So I downloaded the HP assistant and it has told me the serial number and product number for my machine.
However for the life of me, I can't find a website telling me what battery is required for my laptop. I think the HP UK store says all batteries are on order as they are out of stock.
I seem to be going around in circles trying to sort this out. Can you provide any advice/pointers/websites I should be looking at?
Also one video I saw suggests removing the back of the laptop to replace the battery. Is that really necessary? I am not technically confident so am hoping this is not the case. Any advice you can provide on this matter would be appreciate

What is your HP model number? If the battery can be removed by just turning it upside down and unclipping it, you can do it yourself. Some laptops do need the bottom taking off to get to the battery, but the majority don't.The battery will have a part number on it, usually HP's part number that you can Google. You can often find them on the likes of Amazon and eBay.1

It is:HP Envy 17-j130ea NotebookThere does seem to be some kind of serrated slide button on the bottom. I did slide it but nothing seemed to happen. After that I left it alone incase I put the battery out of position.

What did you expect to happen? The battery to leap out and pop itself on to the table?
Go to the 0:40s point on this video:

You'll find the battery part number on the battery once you remove it.
and then please go to 1:40s to learn how to swap your horrible slow HDD to a much more suitable SSD. You have a very good laptop, but it is hindered by being fitted with tractor tyres(HDD). Once the SSD is fitted, you will be shocked by the improvement in performance. SSD from as little as £20. Though I would recommend spending more for something that is appropriate to the quality of your laptop.
The fitted HDD is really crippling the performance.2 -
I’ve used BattDepot.co.uk several times,...never had a problem with their laptop batteries.
According to BattDepot, quote: “The ending letters of laptop model will not make any difference on the battery.”
They recommend this:

£23 if collected from their sales desk in Newcastle NE29,...or, £29 inc. delivery.
...others cheaper batteries available on fleabay.
