    I can understand your concerns re Ryan Air not my favourite .....yet I avoid Tui - had two of the worst delays and bad experiences with them.  It seems Villas Plus are within there rights.....
    I would say that with Ryan Air they work to schedule - my question would be baggage allowance difference and also if drink refreshments on Ryan Air etc.  Only other suggestion is to try and see if they can provide Birmingham - but the dates and villa booking may not fit.
    I would be inclined to take it and just enjoy your holiday after the turmoil of the last few months.  Keep focused on what pleasure lies ahead during the four hours flight.
