Broken Wing Mirror - Can we repair it?

My friend broke his wing mirror the other day by leaning on it a bit too much. His insurance deductible is £750 and I figure a garage would probably charge for all of that.
But looking at the damage myself it looks like only a plastic bracket has snapped. The wires are still intact and the mirror still works.
It looks like if we could find a replacement connector then we could possibly repair it ourselves.
Any advice? Is it something that we could fix? If so how would we get this part?
Thanks

Cheapest and easiest to just get a used mirror from a breaker... You can swap the painted cap, so don't need to worry about getting one the right colour.

The bit that's broken is the swivel that allows the mirror to be folded in while parked - or to get knocked in if you clash mirrors with somebody coming the other way.

    What car is it?
  • A liberal amount of a strong 2 part epoxy adhesive may be enough to fix it.
Just make sure that both surfaces are totally clean and grease free and if you can't remove the parts to do the job on a bench, make sure that it's well supported until the adhesive has totally set.

So fairly new, and not exactly common...
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164223648119 - £125 complete used...

Or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352787581939 £170 new (but probably pattern)

Can you see broken plastic? The torx screw was presumably tightened before fitting the mirror. Is it designed to come apart to prevent injury to pedestrians and reattaching it is only easy when you know how?
