On the Beach

Good morning

we received a email from onthe beach confirming that our holiday has been cancelled including flights and accommodation and that we will receive a full refund.

We did not look into this any further and are waiting for a refund which will come in 2 parts - 1 accommodation refund / 2 flight refund.  We have received part 1.

we received a call yesterday saying that as our flight with easyJet took off we are now treated as a no show!, so therefore no refund on the flight portion and we will have to take this up with onthe beach.

We still have the email from onthebeach stating our holiday was cancelled. They also never took the last payment (due 7 days before departure), as the holiday was cancelled.

where do we stand with this in receiving a full refund including flights.

Did the email show the breakdown of refund to everything you had paid until the point of cancellation?

If so then yes you will need to take this up with OTB in the first instance, if they change their tune (which is possible) then your next step would be travel insurance if you had or but they certainly will expect you to exhaust all avenues with OTB.

Hopefully it’s just crossed wires and can be sorted easily since you have the email stating fully cancelled.
  • The email didn’t show a break down - but it states your flight is cancelled......therefore your holiday will not be going ahead...just so confusing with onthebeach and airlines now fighting each other - nothing is ever simple.
  • I booked BA flights through On the Beach and now wish to claim a future travel voucher and cancel my hotel- OTB say I have to do it direct with BA but BA say as booked through an agent they have to make the request- can't get any response from OTB- been asking them about it for 6 weeks now- anybody else have this issue?
