Child care grant and universal credit

Hi guys!
I could really use some help as I've searched the web high and low but cannot find the answer I need!!
I am a full time mature student with 2 children, both are in full time childcare.
I have been given my award notice for the childcare grant. They've allowed me so much for the year to cover September 2020 through till August 2021. The amount I've been awarded will have run out by February.
So can I claim child care costs from Universal credit after my child care grant has run out?
I won't be taking payment from both at the same time, but I will be asking for money from universal credit during the period covered by the childcare grant.
Thank you!!

The child care grant only pays 85% of the cost or a maximum amount if less and you are expected to pay the rest.
Similarly UC pays 85% of the cost or a maximum amount if less.
So if you have been paid the 85% or maximum for the whole year then would there be any more for UC to pay?

No. If your chosen childcare is more expensive than the maximum claim allowed you have to fund the difference yourself.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
