WFH Tax Relief

Hi, I have been WFH since 20th March as our office was and is still closed due Covid. I am now also under consultation for redundancy which will be from the end of October. Should I claim tax relief now, which I am assuming will be in part for the last tax year, 20th March to 01st April 2020, through to the end of October, or should I wait. I would have to claim it myself as my employer has said they wont. I have been told that if I am not made redundant, I will be working from home permanently, in the future. Thank you

You do know it comes out as £1.20 a week for basic tax payers, yes? Barely worth bothering with.1

80p per week for previous tax year2

Tax year ends 5th April not the 1st. It is up to you if you think it is worth the paperwork for the amount you would get back1
