Fraud accounts effect credit score?

Obviously i know it will if you do nothing about it!
However I'm referring to the closed accounts which now sit on my credit file. I've dealt with these fraud accounts in relation to cancelling them but I now have a long list of closed accounts on my credit file, in addition to the open accounts which are actually mine.
Will my score be effected seeing all these closed accounts on my file? They'll get removed in the end but taking longer at the moment because of everything going on.

Hi,What you should be asking is, "will my ability to obtain credit be affected by these closed accounts " ?The answer is a little more complex, what are the accounts marked as now, settled/closed any fraud/cifas markers attached to them ?Your score is irelivant, as its just a marketing gimic, its your history lenders will look at, and then score you using their own internal sysytems. As long as your historic records are correct, then thats all you can do.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. The fraud accounts are listed as closed. I guess to an online system that looks like I have opened the account and closed it without issue? My score is just taking an age to get back to a more normal level, and these fraudulent attempts certainly aren't helpful. I tried to have a bank overdraft added in the real heat of the Covid-19 lockdown but was denied, and that's despite being a long-term customer and it wasn't a huge amount. That's the frustration.0 -
Your score probably won't ever get back 'a normal level'.
But as previously said, you don't need to worry about that. No one will ever know what score you've been given.0
