hello
I'm trying to claim on the new build insurance done through premier guarantee for a shared ownership property and one of the questions is ........
"Please provide a copy of the survey carried out when purchasing the property"
Are they talking about my own snagging survey which i stupidly didnt do before purchasing or is this something the housing association would of done? very confused.

So you're claiming for a structural defect in the property...
If you didn't get a survey, you just reply saying so. It's very, very unlikely that is a breach of the warranty terms.
The reason that they're asking about a survey is probably because...- If you had a survey, and it showed-up some defects, your policy probably required you to report the defects to the developer immediately.
- If those defects have since caused further damage, the insurers might blame you for failing to report them as soon as possible.
But since you had no survey, that problem doesn't arise.0 -
That's exactly right, I'm trying to claim on the structural warranty and I was Abit confused by the wording of the question as it implies there is always a survey done.
What you say makes sense as surely the warranty could be used for issues that there is no way anyone could of picked up on.
If I could go back in time I would of done a survey ..... the amount of problems I've had is rediculous....lesson learnt I guess!0
