Using credit cards abroad

Hi, now that we are able to travel is there any way to get around paying credit card fees when paying for goods and services abroad? All countries are encouraging contactless payments but surely it will cost a fortune in fees and exchange fees? Thanks

You'd just use one of the forex free options, such as Clarity.1

Why do people think using cards abroad is expensive?? Using cards abroad is usually cheaper than changing cash, and using a zero fee card abroad is much cheaper than changing cash.Surely people don't still fall for "commission free" rubbish where there's a large commission hidden in the rate?0
