DPNI Scheme

Just wondering if anyone on the DPNI Scheme has been denied financial help from HMRC? My husband, a tax payer for 40+ year has been with his present company for 7 years paying PAYE etc. He's going round in circles being denied help from all departments. Just after a reason Why no help? No one can give an answer. Is he just one of the 3million excluded because Rishi decided he wasn't worth it? Not a bean after paying into the system all these years together with no explanation. Anyone out there has an idea where to go next? Thanks

Is the issue that he is not working but has not been furloughed because he pays his own PAYE and NIC?0

What is the DPNI scheme?0

Direct payment for tax and national insurance, although not that many fall under that. Mainly for people who employer does not have a physical presence in the UK.
Although granted does not fall under and of the covid schemes surely could still claim benefits surely.
What does his contract say about pay? As that still stands.0 -
Very few people are on that scheme. It includes people working for foreign embassies for example as they have no UK Employer (the foreign mission is not treated as an employer). It’s probably a gap in the support network. Any reason he can’t claim benefits?0

Wouldn't the foreign government look after their own?0

Uk employee of a foreign government eg a driver or a secretary in the embassy. Foreign employees of foreign governments aren’t HMRC’s concern at all.0
