Internal door to integral garage

Want to fit an internal door to integral garage in a new build house, so I don't have to go out and open up-over door.
Has anyone done similar recently. What is the approximate cost?
Are there any regulations/standards to be taken care off? (i know it has to be fire door)
Is it compulsory to have door opening towards inside of the house?

You'll need building regs for the new opening.

You probably don't park a car in their but and inward opening door won't be much use on a single garage if you do.

it wont be used for parking a car...mainly for extra fridge/freezer and other kitchen gubbins.

My door from house to garage opens in to the garage - Never been a problem, but then it is on the back wall.
As to cost, it really depends on the quality/type of door and the standard of finish you require. Your insurance company will regard the garage as an outbuilding and expect to see sturdy locks fitted - I went for a high security door with a 15 point locking system which is probably way over the top.. Better safe than sorry.

It will need to be a self-closing FD30 fire door with smoke seals.
The fact that you will not be parking a vehicle in there is immaterial.

In addition to a min. 100mm step down or the floor laid to fall away from the inter-connecting door towards the external garage door. This is the normal situation anyway so you should be ok in that respect.

what if the garage floor is at the same level with the house?

Then it would need a fall/slope. If neither of those can be met, it wouldn’t comply with AD B...
