Voluntary termination faulty car options
My partner has finance on a vehicle, 1 more payment until the half way mark, however there is a major fault and numerous garages have said the cheapest option would be to replace the engine + labour = approx £1500, it is serviced and mot’d regularly, can she vt the agreement?
Thanks in advance

VT is a right under the CCA so yes she can VT it. The problem is that if the car is not in fully working order she will be billed for getting it back in order and likely a lot more than the garage is quoting.

You need to look at all the options, handing back a duff car will be expensive, there may be some less expensive options. What is the settlement figure ?What is the problem, what car is it, age, mileage ?Is anyone willing to buy it and for how much ?0
