Eire is not part of the UK.
  • Not sure of the answer to your question but Ireland has paused it's relaxation of lockdown.

yes you'll need to self isolate for 14 days on arrival. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/ireland/entry-requirements

    Self-isolation on arrival

All arrivals from overseas, including Irish residents, are asked to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival.

You do not need to self-isolate if you are:

    • arriving in Ireland from Northern Ireland
    • briefly stopping over at an airport or port on your way to another country
    • leaving the airport or port to travel overseas or to Northern Ireland, but not staying overnight in Ireland
    • aircraft crew, including pilots, in Ireland as part of your work duties
    • holders of a Certificate for International Transport Workers, or drivers of a heavy goods vehicle, who are in Ireland for this work
    • ship crew, including the maritime master, in the course of performing your duties

Presuming it's not for work purposes as things stand you need to self-isolate unless you are travelling from Northern Ireland or if you're not remaining in the Republic of Ireland e.g. if you fly in to Dublin but then catch a train from Dublin to Belfast on the same day, without spending the night in  the Republic of Ireland.
