320i Clutch replacement

The clutch on my 320i works but occasionally judders - particularly after being in congestion for some time.  Other than that it operates fine.  There is a "they all do that sir" thing with my model and the juddering so I was considering having it replaced.  However, the local garage will not replace the clutch plates without also replacing the DMF.  Now the DMF is fine.  I understand why they recommend that both are done at the same time as, if the DMF then fails, you are stripping the assembly again.  However, my car is under warranty and this covers the DMF so, if it fails within the next 3 years I'm covered.
Opinions please.

They do all do that. How do you know the DMF is fine? Issues with the DMF can also cause clutch judder. The garage could replace the clutch plates and have you complaining because the judder's still there.

I believe that, when a DMF starts to fail, it gets noisy.  There are no undue noises.  Also, it is well known that the original design of the clutch can cause judder.  In fact, replacement parts have been re-designed to eliminate this.

I would suspect that would also include the DMF.
