Section 75 Claim

in Credit cards
I purchased a gift voucher from a holiday company which has now gone into administration. I raised a claim with the credit card company, but they have told me to register a claim with the administrator. Do I have a claim under section 75?

yes if the card value was over £100 (and under £30000!)
You could also ask for a simple chargeback but not 100% sure myself if that is possible as the company has gone into administration - others on here might know0 -
How much did you pay? You say you bought it from a holiday company... was it to be spent with the same company?
If I were a betting man it was under £100 (or it isnt actually a credit card) in which case they have declined the S75 as it doesn't meet the criteria. You could alternatively attempt a chargeback but unlike S75 this isn't a guaranteed refund and you ultimately get the money if your bank can get it which may be difficult in an insolvency.
