Love holidays

My friend and I booked a holiday to Fuerteventura with Love holidays departing 16th May. They cancelled at the end of April promising a full refund. Since then I find it impossible to contact them. They have emailed to ask if I want a voucher or refund 4/5 times, each time I say Refund. They say I'm now in a waiting list. But don't you think it a long wait as we are now in the middle of July. Also we booked our whole holiday with them but they are now saying we may have to chase up Ryanair for our flight money?? This is all getting very frustrating 😡

    How did you pay? Did your ATOL cert say package holiday on it?
  • Love holidays have given me a refund but not the flights, They cancelled my holiday 6 days before they say I have to ring jet2 to claim for fefund  then love holidays will refund flights. I rang jet2 who informed me love holidays never cancelled flights. Now got to try and contact love holidays again thats another 4/5 hours or days waiting to get on live chat. I have a ATOL certificate which says Package (multi-contract) any advice

    Bit more info required.   When/where/how?  I don't understand why LH would cancel the flights by Jet 2?   That sounds like the flights went ahead?   If so Jet 2 won't be refunding anyone.     If you have a package holiday and love Holidays cancelled it for you they should be the ones to refund you.   However, I do know there is total confusion over these multi-contract packages.   Daughter had similar. Booked hotel and flights via LH to Tenerife for July 12th.   Carriers were Ryanair and Ryanair contacted daughter direct via email in May cancelling the return flight only!   They (Ryanair) told her she had to go on-line to 'my account' section of their webiste to request a refund. This she did.    LH only contacted 10 days before to say the 'holiday' had been cancelled (Spain still in lockdown at time)

       
  • We booked a package holiday with love holidays. They emailed us to say they had cancelled the holiday and asked to to go on manage my bookings to request refund or credit note, we requested a refund but they have only refunded the transfer and hotel.

    They'll pass on the refund from the airline when they receive it - some (Virgin Atlantic for example) are taking up to 120 days to refund. 
    When was the holiday cancelled?

    Love Holidays have said no refunds for flights unless the airline offers one. If you are booked with the likes of Ryanair they are flying most of their routes and point-blank refusing refunds. ABTA, which Love Holidays are currently a member has said there should be a full refund of all monies paid but a number of operators are now ignoring them.

    Oh dear, what a surprise they are ignoring ABTA.
    Try a chargeback they'll find it harder to ignore a Bank.
