Child’s scooter on Ryanair

Options
Hi, I’m struggling to contact Ryanair, no surprise really but I wondered if anyone has experience of taking a child’s micro scooter instead of a pushchair? So I’ve booked my 4 yr old a child ticket and don’t want to take a buggy. We are staying at a friends house In Spain but would like her to be able to scoot to the shops. I’m travelling on my own with my 3 children so want to avoid hold luggage and hoped I might be able to take it collapsed free of charge in place of her buggy but store it in the overhead locker. I’m asking a lot but it would really make everything so much easier.

I can’t see RyanAir accepting and agreeing to your request to substitute the allowance of taking a baby buggy/push chair for a child’s scooter.

If however the scooter when folded down fits within the dimensions of permitted cabin baggage allowed perhaps you could take it that way.

If you are hoping for the cabin baggage allowance PLUS a concession to take the scooter in lieu of a push chair then I think you will be disappointed.

I can't see Ryan Air substituting a pushchair for a scooter, because they are in no way, shape or form the same thing, a scooter would be more likely to fall under Ryan Air's bicycle policy.  Will it fit into a holdall of the permitted hand luggage size?

If you're going to have to pay hold luggage for it there and back it would probably be cheaper, and less hassle,  to buy once once you arrive.
