Are 2 damaged alloys worth anything?

ive got 2 x 22” alloys that are quite heavily damaged (hit a kerb), are they worth anything at all?  They’re £360 a piece new on eBay, almost double that at a LR main dealer
do they have any value, and if so, where?  Be a shame to throw them away

As is they will be worth peanuts. Are they useable?
You'd almost certainly do better paying to get them repaired and then sell them.

Weigh-in value for aluminium is probably a few quid each.

Or you could look into the cost of getting them repaired, then balance that against how much good, un-damaged-and-fixed second-hand ones are going for.

22" rims a bit silly on UK roads. Who knew?

Or just stick them on eBay as damaged for someone else to repair and see what you get.

Yep ebay them. I have bought cheap alloys because I melt them down.  Condition means nothing to me.

My only concern is that they are aluminium and not magnesium. Magnesium cathches fire just above the melting
point of aluminium and it not easy to put out. Bury it in sand and leave it for a few days.

    They definitely won't be magnesium...

Heavily damage but repairable? Then repair them and sell them.
Not repairable, try ebay and if they don't shift scrap them.

22" are within half an inch of the the size of the rims on my 44 tonne artic, 22.5" is the standard size for any lorry over 7.5 tonnes . Who the hell fits rims that big to a car?

    Not as standard-fit.

Even the very fullest full-fat £180k, 565bhp 5.0 petrol v8 supercharged LWB Range Rover SVR Autobiography... "only" has 21" rimz as standard, innit.

They won't charge you any more for 22", once you're handing them damn near 80% the price of an average house, but you have to actually select them from the options list.
