I would love some stories and opinions on people’s experiences with the mortgage application with Leeds Building Society.
I have had my DIP approved and put in my full application on friday 10th July and have gone with a mortgage broker.
I work 2 days a week at a doctors surgery so I haven’t been furloughed and my partner is an aircraft refueller and was furloughed but from Monday is going back to work for 22 hours a week on what the government now call flexible furlough.

Any one got a similar situation?

Hi, we have not been furloughed so cannot help with that bit but we have just gone through the mortgage application process with Leeds.
5 June - DIP, soft search done on Equifax.
15 June - full application submitted.
17 June - hard credit search done on Equifax.
22 June - Soft check on Equifax to check additional addresses.
23 June - our broker heard from the underwriter with a question that was answered and documents submitted on the same day.
29 June - update from our broker, the valuation had been completed and passed.
3 July - Mortgage offer received woohoo 😃
If you sign up with Equifax for there statutory credit report, you can update it for free as many times as you like. It does not effect your credit history, only you can see the soft searches. You don’t need the pay monthly report, just the statutory one which is updated in real time whenever you request a new report.

Lenders will use the datasets provided by the CRA's to perform their own benchmarking against their own internal criteria.
Is your application dependent on your partner working full time? Is your partners job under risk of redundancy? Peoples circumstances differ and will need to be considered on an individual basis by the underwriter.0 -
