Balance transfers and part-time work

I'm trying to apply for a balance transfer (entire credit card debt is less than £5k) but I'm repeatedly turned down at the pre-application stage. I've never had any issues before and I'm wondering what the reason is?
Two things have changed in the last 2 years: I now work part-time (on a healthy salary) but don't have any responsibility for the mortgage. I have one dependent and I pay £300 a month for nursery fees, which is no burden.
What is the red flag here? I have more than enough money to make my credit card payments, I just want to continue at 0%.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thank-you!

If there’s nothing on your credit reports that you have seen making an issue (utilisation, defaults, missing payments, CCJ .. etc) then it most likely is being in part time employment regardless of salary for the lender
