Garden slope

Hello. I was hoping you can help - our new house will be ready to move into in December and I have a question ahead of exchange, specifically on the garden. It’s c.50ft long with a difference in hight of 1 meter between each end. Can anyone tell me how I can map out this so we can see the reality, or perhaps has experience of a similar gradient.   I suspect will will want it levelling or perhaps tiered if levelling all of its too hard.

Thanks

    That's a fall of about 1 in 15.

You can draw it out on a piece of paper to see what the slope will be.

Or if you have a patio outside that is 15 slabs long it will be a fall of 1 slab over 15.

It isn't steep  by the way. The NHBC allow a maximum longitudinal gradient in gardens of 1 in 6 although most developers opt for a maximum of 1 in 10 to give their clients a more useable garden.

Why? Are you laying a bowling green?
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
