COVID Employee Concerns

My daughter has just started work again at a Chldrens Nursery after being furloughed.
There are no social distancing measures in place, no markers on the floor, only one hand sanitiser and no other notices.
Are the nursery allowed to do this.
She is part of our family bubble which has my mum who is 97
Thanks

My daughter also works in a nursery. such young children cannot be expected to understand social distancing, although staff can. Your daughter may want to read this government document, and the relevant links in it.

Thanks for that but you need a degree to analyse all those points and write down 50 what if scenarios.
Surely it could be more simply explained about the rules specifically in a nursery setting
ie. how many 0-2 in a room ?, nurseries must have sanitisers in every room, staff must be at least 1metre apart

people who are working now are very brave and should get all the cheers we can give them

brave yes I totally agree but surely employers have a responsibility to staff who are all part of 'bubbles' some of which like ours have vulnerable people0

Nursery staff are no different to the majority of the care industry. Social distancing is not possible and it is up to the employee to instigate the correct measures in their home life and as many measures as possible at work to protect themselves and still function in their role
Thousands of people have been working in these types of riskier settings from day 1 with shielded members of their family at home.

Has your daughter asked for the Covid Secure policy or a risk assessment? My daughter's employer gave all relevant information before they started back at work - how many in bubbles, what happens if someone in the bubble has symptoms or is diagnosed with Covid-19, how to manage handing over of children between staff and parents, hand washing and sanitizer, cleaning regime, etc.

agreed read the nursery risk assessment (well your daughter needs to not you).
A 97 year old relative living at home is the families problem not the employersAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0
