I've typed out my SAR and email to Cst law in accordance with the advice on page 2.
I haven't sent the emails yet as I'm not sure whether I should include my signature.
Would it be ok to use my signature or should I just print my name?
Thank you for any guidance it will be much appreciated.0 -
Thanks again beamerguy. I really would be clueless without everyone's help 🙄0

Dear All
It has been some time since I have received any letters from Smart Parking, they sent 3 letters in just as many weeks recently requesting payment. After reading some posts on the forum I ignored and anticipated a claim form to arrive.
The claim form.has arrived today and is dated 18 August 2025.
The form states I must respond. I have tried to pick up some advice from another thread but I am so confused as to what to do as the thread stated I have to submit a defence( template of 10 paragraphs) and then went on to say the template has changed to 8 paragraphs
I couldn't find the 8 paragraph one. Any help would be much appreciated.
They are claiming on the basis of breach of contract.
I would be very grateful for your assistance.

Its 10 paragraphs and in the defence template thread near the top of the forum, have a look
Copy paragraph 3 from this thread, adapt to suit your case, add it to the template, replacing the template paragraph 3

Dear Gr1pr and Coupon-mad
Thank you for your swift advice. I have changed the title of my post as advised.
I will have a read through the posts as advised and no doubt return for further assistance 🙄
From my previous reading, am I correct in stating that 5 days after the date of issue ( in my case 18 August 2025) I need to complete the acknowledgement of service via the MCOL Internet site ?
Sorry if this is a silly question with an obvious answer, it's just that I have never been in trouble with the law and I really don't want to trip up and make any mistakes.
I parked in a bay marked as disabled with a valid blue badge. The signage the parking company are relying on was no clearly displayed in the area where I parked. It was unclear it applied to that area, it looked like it applied to a parking area fenced off to the side not the line of car parking spaces number of which were marked as disabled parking, along the road Upon receipt of demands for payment a friend kindly returned to the area with me and we took photographs which clearly demonstrate this.
I would never have parked there if the signage was clear because as a blue badge holder I could have parked on double yellow lines without risk of any fine and demands for extortionate amounts of money which I simply don't have.
Sorry about the length of this post I just thought I would explain the context.
Thanks in advance.2 -
Ideally you complete the AOS online on MCOL between day 5 and day 19 after the issue date, to make the deadline 33 days after the issue date
Ideally complete the AOS online sometime next week2 -
Thanks Gr1pr, I will do 😬1

PLEASE bookmark this thread below and do the government's Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet.
Their proposals are wrong. We must stop them.
See this thread: -
We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.
We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.
So to try to help, I've written some guidance on that thread.
Any questions on the Consultation please ask - on the dedicated thread - but I've covered up to question 20 already in that first post, openly telling everyone what I'm going to put and/or what sort of evidence you might wish to use for your response, if you agree with what we'll be saying from our experience.
Whilst your answers must of course be your own, there are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people may not think of without our guidance because we see cases every day and we know the legal background.
However, people like you have lived & breathed the intimidation, greed and unfairness first hand so your voice is needed!
