Travel Insurance Claim - Reject

Hi,
I wonder if someone can help? I was supposed to go on my brothers stag do to Vegas in March. The best man booked this as a group booking with lastminute.com and like every holiday at the moment it got cancelled due to COVID-19. Lastminute.com are only offering vouchers and not full refund. The guys want to go back end of this year, but I am unable to go as my wife if pregnant with our first child and is due in November!
Before the outbreak and before insurance companies changed policies, to not include COVID-19 in claims, I managed to get insurance with AXA, I paid for a premium policy so it would hopefully cover everything, it was a bit of a panic to get it sorted because the virus was only starting to venture into Europe.
Once we had confirmation of cancellation from the holiday company I set about doing the claim. I finally received the outcome of my claim last month and they have rejected this due to it being a package holiday and they would not pay out for my part
So I have effectively lost £500-£600
Is there anything I can do? Or can I complain to AXA? I don't remember on the form specifically asking if this was a group booking etc. So they have happily taken my money for them not to do anything?
With everything up in the air and a baby due soon, it would be helpful to have the money back from this.
Any advise would be grateful.
James
