Outbound Flight Cancelled, Inbound Flight Not - 2 different airlines

Hi there,
Looking for some advice. Myself and a friend booked flights to Cyprus in January 2020 to fly out at the end of July 2020. We booked out Outbound flight with JET2 which has now been cancelled and money refunded. Our Inbound flights were booked with EasyJet and there doesn't seem to be any prospect of them cancelling their flight. I have Travel Insurance which I took out in January 2020 so i'm wondering if this situation would be covered?
I can also change my flights with EasyJet 14 days prior to the flight departing (Flight departs Paphos to Edinburgh on 5th August) so I have up until 22nd July to change without a fee. If I change within the 14 days it will be a £32 + fee difference charge. I would prefer not to change the flight as I don't really know what my future situation will be. How likely are EasyJet to cancel this flight? How much notice will they give you? Am I better leaving it as long as possible in the hope they cancel the flight and risk the £32 fee difference if that is my only option?
Sorry for the bombardment of questions but just a bit worried about the £500 myself and my friend have spent on these flights.
Thanks in advance for any help, support or advice you can provide.

(Flight departs Paphos to Edinburgh on 5th August)
searching Paphos to Edinburgh shows "No flights between 25th Jul & 2nd Sep"
what does it show in your booking on the Easyjet website? - may already have been cancelled

Surely the bigger question is how you are going to get there with no outbound flight booked? Assuming you have found an alternative flight, Easyjet on checking their website now, are not offering flights on that route at all in August so it looks as though you will be entitled to a refund, just hope you haven't booked an outbound flight at all
  • @Caz3121 & @Alan_Bowen Thanks so much for the advice. I've checked my Easyjet account again and it has now been cancelled :) I've just completed the "Refund Form" and hoping to get the money back for that flight. What a relief! I've also just done the free bank transfer from my credit card for my refunded JET2 flight from the advice on Martin Lewis's Travel Advice page. Thanks again folks!
