Parking Charge Notice

I’ve been staying at my partners house for a few years on and off - usually no more than 3 days a week. She has a designated space given to her by the council as she has an autistic son.
Today I have left for work and found a Parking Charge Notice from a company called Parking Control Management asking for £60.
Speak to the council?
Many thanks!

What do you mean, given by the council?
Is this private land?
Public?
WHen you appealed it, what did you say?
Youve given us very few useful details.1 -

My mistake - she was moved there by the council years ago but this is private land.
It is Radian who dish out the parking permits and PCM who enforce them.
I simply said there must have been some mistake as the permit is clearly displayed in then windscreen and that obviously I have no intention of paying it.
Thanks for your time.0 -
Carry on and appeal to the IAS - but you need to understand how to play the IAS game and go into it with your eyes wide open, because it's a kangaroo court.
Read the NEWBIES thread post #3 first - sometimes it's worth taking PCM to IAS and this is oe such time, with your photo evidence showing that permit!
Can you show us that photo please?
Have you appealed to PCM with your photo evidence and yawningly told them you will show the IAS?
Bur also please read the NEWBIES thread 3rd post and DON'T be put off appealing to the IAS because I say there in the sticky thread: ''don't bother with IAS unless you have an unusual case''.
To be clear - I am saying you have that unusual case that SHOULD go to IAS!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi,
Thank you for the reply. Above is a pic of the badge. It’s a bit battered so we keep it in her blue badge holder. To me that clearly shows the postcode, bay number and resident status. Also, it’s been like that for at least a year and no parking fine up until now. It’s just a bit odd. I can understand if I was randomly parking in someone’s bay!
I have not included pictures in my appeal because they’ve already uploaded pictures as evidence which clearly supports my appeal.
If they don’t remove the charge then I will definitely be appealing through IAS.
Many thanks.1 -
Good but don't expect to win. The IAS is a truly dreadful kangaroo court for the parking firms.
You need to try IAS with your eyes open and bombard it with photo evidence.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It is not a fine, it is an invoice from an ex-clamper to compensate them for the alleged harm they suffered when you did what you did. We call it a scam. Pay them not a penny unless a judge so orders it.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
