Morning everyone
Bella - thanks for starting us off x
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Bright sunny start to the day here, I have a wash laod to peg out which I'll do in a mo.
DH watching catchup tv with a cuppa, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS1 has gone to work and DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, veg rice and pasta with a creamy tomato sauce. I remembered to get the chicken out to defrost - so we'll be having chicken either roasted or in a sauce with mash, veg and gravy.
We're heading out shortly to get some more supplies to finish off a job DH has been doing in the garden. Then continuing on to a antiques warehouse not to far away to have a nosy. We'll just be chilling for the rest of the day when we get back.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
I seem to be getting later every day, it's so nice to be able to lie in for a change, I'm sure it won't last but making the most of it for now. It's a rainy day so will probably just visit the allotment and make some face masks for friends.
From the allotment yesterday - some purple sprouting brocolli, an onion, lots of peas and I was given a cabbage. Tea was of course fresh steamed veg! I'll have to pull the onions soon but getting them dry is a bit of a faff here, last year I left some to dry at the allotment and someone helped themselves.
Pleased to hear your DM is home and catching up on her sleep Gers.
Well done Bella, you'll be ready for a nana nap later.
Good news on the op Mehefin, not so with DS and the vet's bill.
Hope you all have a good Wednesday, take care. XX12 -
Morning all! Damp and drizzly on and off, so it's a good job I filled the back of the car [ with seats down] with the rest of the tree branches. I could probably squeeze in a mouse fart in the boot but nothing else...I've moved all the big bits of branch and the little twiggy kindling to be bits off the grass because today is hoover the lawn day. The green bin gets collected tomorrow so once I've been to the tip, it's cut grass day. Should be fun..OH has done something to the same knee he properly twisted while ago so I can't rely on his humping things around abilities for a while. Everyone in the street seems to be sprucing up their house...The next door neighbours but one have painted their house a magnolia type colour, next door are going to paint their side walls the same. We will be the only ones left with manky looking pebble dash...Unless I jet wash it......uh oh, look out world! I have a jet wash project!Gers, bet she's glad to be home...Mehefin, how many wars have you been in?! Blimey! A litany of happenings! Maybe your wife didn't go far enough.....Ruby..Ahhh! In that case, get on yer bike and ride!
Hey all readers along, wishy washy wednesday ahead!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi13 -
Morning all.
At least I've managed to get here at a respectable time this morning.
Dumpling, sorry you're not feeling great. Just hang on in there and look forward to the bright days that crop up now and then.
Gers, I bet your DM will sleep a bit today too. Hospitals are not the most restful places, and she must be relieved to be back in her own surroundings.
I need to do a bit of semi-energetic puttering today. Yesterday seemed to be spent on the phone being passed from department to department, each one having no knowledge of what had gone before so needing all the security checks done again and the problem explained over and over again. I was foaming at the mouth after a couple of hours.
Today I'm trying a bit of furniture moving. Somehow I have to increase the holding capacity of this bungalow by about 50%. Either that or get rid of a lot of stuff.....but where? I'm tempted to drag things out to the front garden with a notice inviting people to help themselves. It's a quiet place with no passing traffic so it might take a while.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Too many books? I think you mean, not enough book shelves.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning everyone. Feeling a bit brighter today having given myself a good talking to! Seeing a friend for coffee soon, a rare treat
but I have decided I must be a bit braver about some social contact. I will take her a cucumber as a gift as the 2 plants are doing well this year. one thing I am enjoying is a duolingo online French course, surprising myself how much is coming back from schooldays. Glad your mum is home Gers. Hope everyone has a reasonable day12 -
Hello all, had a really bad night's sleep, meaning I didn't sleep at all, worrying about Mr Fix It mainly. I finally managed to get some sleep 6am til 10 am, so I am fit for nothing today. Oh well I hope to have a better day than yesterday when first I nearly killed a tail-less Robin ( with my spade
) which was hiding in the garden. He had such good camouflage that I couldn't see him from 6ins away and the poor thing couldn't fly, so I think he had been hurt by something. Secondly Mr Fix It had a funny turn and gave me one heck of a scare, I honestly thought he was having a heart attack ! Neither of us wanted to cook after that so it was toast for tea. He slept most of the evening and all night and he is still very tired today, but I have told him that he must just sit and do nothing, or else !! Don't think I'll be doing anything remotely productive either today, except I have ordered our repeat meds and the pharmacy are now able to deliver. It seems the panic for meds delivery has died down now, luckily we could rely on DD to collect ours. Tea tonight will be bacon, sausage and eggs etc. Hope this post makes some sense at least.Gers I'm glad Mum is home.Hugs to anyone struggling with anything.Take care all, stay safe and well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13 -
Afternoon all. Overcast here but the sun is trying to peek out.
I have teatowels in the washing machine and DH has just gone to neet DD ourside As#a to pick up her shopping and take it home for her while she walks back. Not far but a steep hill.
We did a shopping trip to Tosco this morning. Almost more order pickers than customers walking around. They had bread flour so I was well pleased.
Last night DS replaced a fence panel for the woman next door who had been let down twice by others who had promised to do it. A bit fiddly as it involved scrrwing it to a wooden bracket on the side wall of her extension. She was very glad to have it done as a 6ft panel is a 2 man job.
Nan hope Mr Fix it is feeling better today. Dumpling you too. Have a hug. Mehefin ouch to vet fees.
Well have a good afternoon folks.

And now the car will be full of tiny spiders from the tree branches...double doh! At least the lawn is now hoovered and strimmed.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12

I'm not going to make masks yet as the mister ordered more disposable ones without mentioning it.
Dumpling sorry to hear that you have been poorly.
Mehefin your poor horse, sounds awful. Glad your surgery is soon but a bit unimpressed about your DS.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back9
