Morning all
Early one for me up at 2am to take DD2 to the airport their flight was supposed to be 2pm but when they downloaded the app it had changed to 06.10 they weren't too worried as it gives them an extra day thank goodness they downloaded the Jet 2 app I wonder how many will miss the flight as they checked in last week so they wouldn't usually have checked again
Just having a cuppa then i will take the dogs out for an hour or so
Not sure what's for dinner tonight will have a root around the freezer in a bit
Nothing much else happening today so will just do a bit of a tidy up and some washing
Hugs to all that need them and I hope you all have a good day xxx

Morning folks. Thanks for starting us off BELLA - and what a good deed you did so early in the morning. All's quiet here, DM is fast asleep still despite promising that she'd be wide awake by 6am as in hospital. 🤣 She spent most of yesterday asleep, I think that being in hospital is very exhausting with constant noise and demands for the four hourly obs etc.No plans here yet, just looking after DM, I'll need to order some meds but that's about it.My thoughts are with those who could use some virtual TLC.Happy Wednesday to all.14

Good morning everyone,
Sorry I haven't been posting but still feel rather rubbish so I am just reading along.
Gers, I am so glad your mum is home from hospital and you are so right about the noise on the wards.
I am still managing to knit a bit but that is all I can do. I have been very wobbly on my feet and as I don't want to fall I am staying put most of the day. Two of my sisters came to see me yesterday and while it was lovely to see them I felt a bit ashamed of myself as I was still in my pj's and hadn't even brushed my hair let alone had a wash.
Steve as always is in charge of the domestics today and he mentioned he was going to pop to the supermarket to get a few bits this morning. I might try to make a list for him. Don't know what is going to be for dinner. We are having a week of eating out of the freezer so it will be a mystery until Steve gets up and has a rummage.
Hope you all have a good day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Good morning, thank you for starting the thread bellabella.
Cool and drizzling here, grey skies and gloom in the garden. I will be forced to do indoor jobs this morning, horrors. I do have lots to do as I have spent more time doing garden jobs. Back garden is looking good, less so the front. It will look better once I tackle the anthills and re sees those bits.
Gers you must be relieved to have your DM at home.
I must get on with mask making as I think we will run out of the disposable ones very soon now.
Hope everyone has a good day, and perhaps the sun will shine for you.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back14 -
Morning folks. We have a few early birds on here this morning. I was woken up at 4.30 by Sparkle jumping on top of me, purring loudly and wanting a fuss making.. Aaargh I wasn't too impressed by that! I managed to get back to sleep surprisingly and slept till 6.40. That's a lie in for me! It's a mizzly cloudy start here but no actual rain forecast. That's a shame really as I could do with a quick downpour to test the mended gutters before I pay him!
GERS so pleased your DM is now home and enjoying a long sleep in her own bed. Hospitals are not conducive to good sleeps are they. BELLA what a you Good Samaritan you are, driving to the airport at that time.
It was so lovely to have DD and the 3 girls all together in the house again after 4 months of either sitting in the garden or shivering in the garage. DD had been to the hairdressers at last and looked more herself after a bit of a trim and colour. Eldest DGD (now almost 16) has had the bottom part of her hair dyed blue! Aaargh but I was assured it's only a temporary colour and will wash out in a few weeks.
No plans for today (I rarely do have these days so no surprises there) I could resume the weeding in the front garden or find some indoor jobs or just have a slothful day. Such decisions.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care and stay safe x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all from Mehefinland
Well its been a rollercoaster week or so.
1st Lagganmare got colic (again) on the Friday. Vet out and fixed. Saturday repeat. Sunday ( wedding anniversary day) repeat. Vet examined mouth and she had 2 teeth that needed urgent extraction which potentially was casing the colics.
Monday vet comes to remove said teeth. One snaps in half and she cant get it out. Has to come back Tuesday with another vet and some special kit to complete job. Tuesday night there is blood everywhere on the floor. Poor girl is bleeding from the um. Panic call to vet . should clear up they say. Next morning more blood and by the next day had stopped. Yesterday she has a mahoosive back le and its dripping fluid.!! Another emergency call out and she has an infection of the lymph system probably from the teeth extraction. so IV antibiotics and a further visit later today. Poor mare has really been in the wars. Scooymare is being very vocal as she is out in the field and missing her new friend. They are funny animals!
However the good news is I have finally got an appointment for my cataract operation so I may be able to see properly again next month. DS was asked if he could come home for a few days to help out and take me in but has refused. Mrs M NOT amused and has really laid into him. he says his boss doesn't want him travelling and going to a hospital as it could effect the covid test kits they are making. Load of bull. Only want him to take me in and help his mum with the animals for a day.
I have to self isolate for 2 weeks before the op and have a covid test a few days before so there is no risk.
Anyway the cake was enjoyed by everyone we gave it to,and we are going to get another for our good friends Golden wedding later in the year
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin
Looks like beans on toast for the rest of the year when this vets bill hits the floor!! Oh well its only money, and if you have animals you have to look after them.

Morning folks and thanks for starting us off Bella. Agree with others that you have done a very good turn. Hope you can have a snooze later.Gers glad your DM has had a good sleep.Dumpling good to hear from you. I’m sure your sisters were delighted to see you and didn’t care about pjs. Hope Steve finds something delicious in the freezer.AOD would it be worth buying a couple of masks from Etsy to relieve the pressure of making? Then you could take your time.TA it’s so wonderful to have your DD and DGDs in the house isn’t it? I love it. We were round at DD’s yesterday celebrating the wee one’s birthday and it was so lovely and relaxing being there.Sunny again today. I’m enjoying this spell of sunny weather as it is not too hot this time. We go off in our caravan for a few days tomorrow. Not far. First time with the awning so wish us luck please 😁. DH thinks it will be fine though. He’s got awning experience from previous job so I’m assuming he will manage 😃.
I’m enjoying being onholiday from work with the work laptop and notebooks tidied away.Easy tea of something tonight which won’t need much clearing up. Quite vague at this point.Oh - bars, restaurants, hairdressers opening here today. Businesses will be glad. Think DH will wander up for a pint at our local.Have as good a day as possible. Take care all x.13 -
Morning all,Glad your DM is settled and having a lie in Gers.Sparkle sounds in fine fettle TA.It is raining here, coat was soaked after I got in from dogwalking. She has been under the weather the last few days so I'm keeping my eye on her.Dumpling sorry you're not feeling too good. If its any consolation I felt like that last week when my DB and niece popped in for a visit with 5 minutes notice. AAaargh. I put the 5 mins to good use but I think the recent sloth mode shone through
Yesterday my DGS had the 2nd of 2 mornings back at school, 2 more next week and then it's the summer break. DS & I picked him up and he came back for a couple of hours. They are going to have the same teacher for the next year, makes sense really, at least he already knows them so it shouldn't take as long for them all to settle back in and hopefully catch up better. We had pizzas last night, left them in a bit long though
Not sure about tonight.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)14 -
Morning everyone
Light cloud here this morning but the weather forecast looks promising from Friday onwards.
Went to a local market town yesterday about 10 miles away that we haven’t been to for a while and was truly shocked at the amount of shops that had closed down! It was really sad to see☹️. It looks like they have been closed for a while as well not just because of Covid.... it does have a nice M&S food hall but I’ve since heard that that is earmarked for closure as well.
Pottering day today, have a clothes wash to do and then will tackle the voiles that are in the bay windows, need to pop out and get some whitening stuff to put in the machine. That will probably be all for today🙂
Tagliatelle carbonara with garlic bread for dinner tonight, one of our favourites.
Hope that everyone has a good day.

Morning all
Sunny day here again I have a load in the wm and another to go in after I will hang them both out for a while. It seems to me that whenever I put the sprinkler on it rains
I shall test it out again today and see, we took the dogs up to the beach yesterday in bright sunshine so I left the sprinkler on the grass walked for an hour or so and then the heavens opened, we were all like drowned rats by the time we got back to the car, my pup had to be showered off as she swims in the sea and then rolls in the sand very full on, she kind of buries her head in the sand and then rolls her whole body in it, to her it is pure bliss we call this 'poppeting'
it is her most favorite thing to do in the world and to her worth the shower off when she gets home !!
Will continue cleaning a few kitchen drawers today I did about half yesterday so will hopefully do the rest today,I will also give the lounge a good clean and pull the sofas out etc.
Gers I am glad mum had a good night xx
Bella that is very brave of your mum, sending love to you all xx
Taff thr Dr said when he gave me the pills that he would only give me 2 weeks worth as they were very addictive, so I have been trying not to have one every night, I did have one last night and had a great sleep !!
I have ordered some masks from a lady who makes and sells them in this village so will cycle up and get them once they are done, Ive got my mum one as well.
Sea bass for dinner with some mussels in a garlic sauce I will toss it in some linguine with some capers and pour the mussel sauce over.
Right better get on have good days all xx10
