Vented heating system in new house complying with BS EN 60335-2-73:2003. How to check?

Hi all,
I only ever lived in a house with a combi boiler. We are in the process of buying a new house. In this house, there is a vented heating system that is 15 years old (fitted when the house was built).
How do I check what the storage tank is made of (particular type)? I also want to know if the heating system complies with British Standard BS EN 60335-2-73:2003 and British Standard BS4213:2004 ‘Cisterns for domestic use. Does anyone know if the surveyor will have a look at this? This was brought in due to some incidents of scalding from domestic hot water systems which include a fixed
all-electric or part-electric immersion heater in conjunction with a
plastic cold water storage cistern or ‘tank' located in the roof
space.
The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler (I don't know if there is an immersion heater). If you switch off the immersion heater (is that possible?) that means that there is no risk, right? Or, if the water is warmed up using a boiler, would you need to specifically turn the immersion heater on as it is normally switched off?
Thank you for any help

I hope you have not been up all night worrying about this.It looks like your heating system was installed after the introduction of this standard.A new thermostat is not very expensive (if required). An immersion heater is a useful back-up in the event of boiler failure and is almost certainly fitted with an on/off switch, or time switch.1

I very much doubt there is any trades on here that could tell you what those BS are,
all modern immersion stats will have a manual overheat button, if when you move in it doesn't you can buy a new one for less than a tenner,
worry about how much the grass is gonna need cutting when you move in rather than thisI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
