iPhone 11 broken after small repair from shop

Hi, I took my phone to a high street phone repair shop as the lense on the camera had a crack in it. It was supposed to be an easy repair as we both agreed the camera was ok and the phone did not have to be taken apart, just the lense needed replacing which was an easy job i was told on my iPhone 11. 

The job was done and I collected the phone, I checked the camera after and when the lense was replaced the camera became damaged. After discussion the shop took the blame and agreed to replace the camera. I took it back when the camera was in stock and the guy burred over the screws to get it apart and now Says he’s awaiting a tool to get them out. I’m very worried as it’s not an old phone and expensive. What’s happens if the phone gets damaged even more or something else happens to it in his possession trying to replace the camera. Any advise please?

If its under warranty apple most likely would have covered it at your local apple store.
