Tesco vs Virgin Black Credit Card

We pay for a Black Virgin CC with the idea of buying a family vacation every year.
We recently opened a Tesco CC to use where stores don't take Amex.
However, having searched forums, the general consensus seems to be the Virgin card has too many conditions to be of any value to us.
I have looked down the CC table & seen that Tesco is 3rd in the running but only if you received it '06 or before.
I see the Tesco card I have ('07) is supposed to reap more rewards in store than with vouchers. That doesn't add up to me. My vouchers are worth 4x as much spent on holidays or on a car than instore. It says £10K spending = £100 vouchers £125 instore.
Can someone clear this up for me please? That's a typo, right? If anything it should say £100/£25, right?
And in relation to the Virgin Black card on the chart; is the value per £10k taking into account the free companion & free upgrades you can earn?
Thank you
