Hotel/Parking Gatwick

Hi, my husband and myself were due to fly out to Florida which due to covid-19:our holiday was cancelled and revbooked for next year. We booked with purple parking hotel stay for the night before we were due to fly and hotel parking while we were away, this was booked on a no cancellation basis, we do not want a refund we look like to move our booking to next year, which they are refusing to do. We have contact them a few times but are not getting anywhere, I thought they would be a bit more considerate, the decision to cancel was out of our hands. Is it worth trying to take it higher or just live with it.

The bit saying "no cancellation" will be the reason why they are refusing. Parking companies are horrific and the best if times, they won't be nice now

As they are not providing a service they are obliged to refund and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) appear to have been very successful in forcing companies to change their minds. They wrote to over 100 in the travel industry last Thursday, not sure who they were but you should certainly report them and see what happens. you can report them at this address https://www.coronavirus-business-complaint.service.gov.uk/
