Childcare Grant

Does anyone know if both parents need to be students in order to receive the Childcare Grant or not? I'm getting different answers from Student Finance England. One person says both parents must be students and then another person says only one parent needs to be a student. At the moment, both of us of students but from September, my husband will be working part-time (and looking after our son on the other days). Will we be entitled to the childcare grant from September even though he's not a student? (His income will be below the threshold so that won't be an issue).

Hi @sheramber,
Where on this calculator does it indicate anything to do with what I asked? I may be missing something but it doesn't say anything about whether both parents or just one parents need to be students for the Childcare Grant.0 -
It includes 'partner's income' so would that indicate the partner does not need to be a student?0
