Hi All, Well my issue with LH is like so many other hard working people, i have no idea what to do next? So far...
Once upon a time, Last year (Aug 2019) i booked a 14 day holiday for 3 off us. This was to be a present for my 7 years old birthday, we planned to visit Disney land Florida. So booked with LH and paid in full flights were with TUI. this cost £4500. so now the fun begins. got all my details and then realised that booking with LH you don't get any luggage allowance with TUI??? so i go on to the TUI app and add luggage allowance i could have gone via LH to do this but it seemed easier to go direct to TUI. well a month goes by and i check my booking a see that the hotel with LH is now cheaper which i then upgrade to a better room for free. well im thinking that i would also like to check my seats on the flight and notice that i'm unable to book my seat and could be split up on our flight so i'm back on the TUI app to upgrade my seats so we can sit together.. I thought thats it we are ready and all is well.. The Covid-19!!!! ok i fully understand this problem but what happens next is just a joke with LH.
The messages start and everybody is getting into a mess but reading between the lines its time to move my dates. So following LH web site advice and message service Its advised to alter my flights with TUI then LH will do the rest?? i also needed to add an additional child (long story) LH was OK with this so got in touch with TUI and altered the flights and added the other person.. At first LH seemed ok but the replies were a little useless. they wanted to charge me for the flight change??? then i was told that my booking would not be covered by ATOL because i altered the flight details then LH were waiting for the insurance company to back to them to alter the changes. then that's it my open message was closed and have not replied to any other messages. but then i've started to get the emails, TUI has cancelled my flights??? not possible because these were altered. then LH sent the email review your holiday options credit note refund or refund but only to the value of the Hotel???
Why can't LH just amend my hotel as requested, rearrange my insurance and issue a new ATOL cert to the full value of the alterations they agreed to and asked me to..

You neglected to mention when your holiday is
If it's anytime this year and to the USA then it's almost certainly going to be cancelled isn't it as their borders are ClosedEx forum ambassador
