I have offered to go back early and they told me not to bother I’ve told them I will drop positions and take a pay cut to stay in the shop I originally started in but they’ve said no I have said I will go back in my original role and they’ve said only in another shop I just want to go back to where I usually work my job is already being advertised after I said I would go back0

Unfortunately you may not be able to. They have a few the nearest one to me other than my original shop is 25 mins away by car0

And does your contract state you work at ‘Tesco, 125 High Street, Townsville’ or does it say you work at Tesco.
25 mins by car isn’t that far and it does seem like your relationship at your current store with the current manager is untenable.0 -

Most employment contracts have at least some "mobility" built in to them. Even if the OP's doesn't (very unlikely) there will still be a requirement to do "such other duties as may reasonably be required" (or similar). Requiring an employee to work at another reasonably local branch is a common and perfectly reasonable request.Masomnia said:

In your original post you said you went off work due to childcare issues and then when they said you will be working in a different shop you had a breakdown. Having a breakdown over something like that shows you have some serious mental health issues that you need to sort out and does seem like you are unable to continue to do your job.jessi_clarke said:No I had a breakdown not because of childcare that was in addition to a number of problems
In this current climate employers can't afford to have employees who are unable to do their job off sick for months and then say they will only come back to work if they put in a specific job in a specific place when they want you working elsewhere.
So really you need to decide if you still want to work/can work and either do what they ask or look for another job elsewhere that you can do.1
