    Does the employer mean that the last 9 weeks to end October at full pay will be the redundancy notice pay?  Statutory redundancy will be on top of that.

    It doesn't look like this employer is going all out to get the most from furlough - if they were, the redundancy would just be now as every month later the costs to the employer go up.

    It doesn't seem fair to me, but the rules do allow furlough to be used towards redundancy notice pay ( just not redundancy payment)
  • Why would the employer keep your partner on furlough when it's going to start costing them from the end of this month to keep her?
    Surely it would be more cost effective for the employer to start the redundancy notice period now.

    Surely the 9 weeks at 100% furlough would be notice period and then additional redundancy payment on top?
