Self-Employment Income Support Scheme Eligibility Checker

Hi all,
Posting this so others can hopefully help to confirm that the HMRC Self-Employment Income Support Scheme is actually working correctly... more specifically, does the checker actually verify that the UTR and the NI relate to the same person/account ? As a test, try using a UTR and NI from two different people ....e.g. husband and wife

Is this for the first grant? Pretty sure they sent invites to everyone who was eligible. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Yes, this is the first grant .... Deadline for application is midnight tonight

My point is, the checker doesn't seem to be performing the basic check of confirming the UTR and NI details are related to the same person ...... So how can it be performing the necessary eligibility checks ....0 -
When you checked, did it follow the UTR or the NINO?ChickiLaLa said:Yes, this is the first grant .... Deadline for application is midnight tonight

Well, as the criteria is based only on your self assessment return....I would hazard a guess it's perhaps only checking the UTR when determining eligibility.ChickiLaLa said:Yes, this is the first grant .... Deadline for application is midnight tonight

Has it said you're not eligible? Is there a reason you think it's wrong?

It comes back with a not eligible response, regardless of whether I use UTR and NINO details for myself only or even my UTR and my wife's NINO (as a check) .... I would have expected the second attempt to be thrown back with a "invalid details supplied" error or something to that effect.0

Okay, thanks for that. Do you think the checker is wrong in your case, that you should be eligible?
I would start with your SA302 for the 18-19 year. It will explicitly state income from self employment & total income. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
