hi

I have been sent a letter before claim for an unpaid parking  fine. The letter was addressed to me but had an incorrect car registration. I did not respond to the letter as I expected they would identify making the error and readdress the matter. They didnt,  they just sent court letter. What is my best way to move forwards with this? The original parking fine came about because i answered a work call that took me over my alloted time. I did pay additional parking  on termination of the call but received a fine for the time i was over due.
Regards

    Welcome!

What do you need to know that isn't already covered in the NEWBIES thread 2nd post, all about LBC stage?

When you have read it and done the SAR (explained in the sticky thread which will NOT be linked here) come back and then tell us which PPC issued the PCN.

One click back takes you to page one and the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    ...they just sent court letter.
Is it fair to expand that cryptic phrase to something like "I have now received a Claim Form from the County Court Business Centre"?

If so, what is the Issue Date on that County Court Claim Form?

Why have you omitted the name of the parking firm?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
