Eligibility checker - eligible result on recently closed provider

in Credit cards
Hi,
I don't know if it is to do with Covid-19, but when I perform a credit card eligibility check on numerous websites, I am finding I am not eligible for any 0% spending cards with one exception, Virgin Money! The odd thing is, I recently closed an old VM Credit Card account about 1 week ago (as suspected maybe the amount of credit available to me was too high, as had 3 unused cards still open).
So, my question is, am I likely to be declined a new account due to recently closing (and not yet passed 12 months) even though the eligibility checkers seem to think I have a 90% chance etc?
Slightly frustrating as I want to take advantage of the 0% interest, have a decent credit score, both me and partner in secure jobs with decent income, yet unable to find a provider willing to accept me at the moment!
Thanks

Have you ran Virgins own checker?
I wouldn’t base a decision on the results from comparison sites or MSE - they aren’t the lender and can’t give you a correct prediction.
A lot of 0% offers have been removed during COVID recently, best of seeing the Virgin check or calling them to see if there was any restriction on your last agreement (IE if you have to wait 12 months before applying again)0
