I’ve recently been contacted on LinkedIn about a supermarket equal pay claim and was wondering if I could make this claim myself without a claim management company taking a %. Any help would be appreciated!

it's probably nonsense. What exactly do you want to claim?0

Seems legit, something about differences in wages with in store workers and warehouse/distribution workers. News outlets such as GMB have also talked about it. Apparently I can claim compensation from Tesco. The company who contacted me is payjustice uk which is ran by a solicitor firm0

So you don't even know the details of the case, yet you want to claim!

But seriously I’ve looked online and there are several news outlets talking about how supermarkets are having to pay out for in store workers, I just wanted to know if I could claim this myself or have to go through a company0

The case is being appealed - rightly in my opinion4

Not sure why it ever won, they are completely different job, hours etc.1

I agree. I do hope the verdict is overturned at the Surpreme Court.Totally different jobs that should rightly have different pay.

It is extremely unlikely that you would be able to succeed in making a claim like this yourself.
The legal basis of the claim is that workers in warehouses (mostly men) get paid more than people in stores (a lot more women), and that this is alleged to be an equal pay issue. It's a pretty serious legal case that is being fought tooth and nail by the supermarket.
It isn't like bringing a PPI claim where you can just write a template letter to the bank and get paid pretty easily. Unlike a lot of the PPI stuff, these cases are being run by proper lawyers, not by cowboy "claims management" companies.
