Perhaps a rolling contract would be a problem for DL because in the summer it’s families for the pools, cafe and childcare, in the winter it’s more fitness people but much fewer, I guess the danger with rolling contract would be that people would just start and stop and they have massive overheads to consider.

They do of course offer a higher price contract with a three month minimum term

Then maybe a bit of investment in their winter offering is what they need to think about? Heat the pools, put in saunas and splash pools, go Scandinavian! Put up mini Christmas markets stalls for food instead of the usual cafes. Look at what gyms/facilities in colder countries do.
