Ebay Returns Policy on Cut to Length Material

I have a roll of fabric that I was thinking of selling on Ebay giving the buyer the option of how many metres they require.
I am registered as a private seller. Is this classed as a 'personalised' item as it is cut to length and therefore exempt from any returns policy?

If you are a private seller then buyers don't have the right to change their mind regardless.
Custom items are those specifically customised for the buyer, picking 2 metres from a drop down menu isn't classed as customised, them buying and then asking for it to be cut to 1.85 metres instead is custom.
As far as eBay goes if you have no returns stated I believe the buyer can still open a change of mind return but you have the option to decline. The buyer can of course still open a not as described return, if they are dishonest about this to force a return there isn't much to can do.
If you accept change of mind returns you'll lose the outward postage, if you don't and someone is dishonest you'll lose the outward and the return.
Most people are honest, although you might see many stories about problems most people only post when there's a problem.
As a private seller it's really up to you.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
Most fabric says how wide it is and it comes in a set length e.g. 0.5 metres, so if you want 1.5m you just enter a quantity of 3 and it will come in one long strip.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
