    Thank you all. 
    I was talking about the cost of the fitting.  
    Yes, I seem to have a fair amount left over, by my calculations it's at least 20+ sq. metres.  
    I am terrible at DIY and have no tools - and while I know it will cost me say £200 to get it done, I'd prefer that it's done properly, and clearly I'm saving my own time too.   
    The floor is flat from what I can see, but I know we needed latex screed from when the work was done in our living room with a crack in the concrete beneath, and don't really want to get into these complicated fixes myself.  
    I don't see any grit in the garage, but I see your point, we need to be careful about what we walk on.
