Hi all,
This is my first time here and I wasn't sure if this category was exactly correct but certainly related.
Back in January this year (25th to be precise) I booked a term of once a week, face to face dance classes for the April term. I paid £36.50 via Paypal. Obviously Lockdown and Covid-19 wasn't really on our radar, certainly the extent of the effects it's had.
Clearly the dance classes were not able to run and I initially requested a refund but was told that the companies T&C's specify they don't give refunds. Additionally my classes would be credited to roll over to a term of my choice. This would be great if they were likely to be back up and running any time soon but it isn't likely - very full on, sweaty dance class indoors.
They then offered/provided online classes instead (I have not taken up any of these) as this was:
- Not what i'd paid for - I would never have bought this if that was the product offered.
- I have a child at home with additional needs plus my husband has been working from home so the practicality of using the online at home classes is not that achievable and certainly not enjoyable.
I've now re-requested a refund but the woman who owns the company has just responded detailing all the classes she has provided online and that I should have got the emails and has told me to look at her T's&C's.
Please could anyone advise me on my rights to a refund. I appreciate she has a business to run and i've supported everyone I possibly could along the way but I can't just lose this money as it's very much needed in my household right now.
Thank you in advance for reading and helping.
