Hi I have a single tap in bathroom I turn it left for hot and right for cold. There is no water coming out of hot side. Cold works perfectly. All other plumbing working in the house. New tap required?

Probably. I assume that you haven't turned off any valves.
You might get by with replacing the ceramic disks. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
I always associate the word cartridge with thermostatic, but I could be wrong. Anyway, we are talking about the same gubbins. The op would have to disassemble the tap to find out what is inside. Then hope that spares are available. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

The thing is that that theoretically it's possible to replace discs in a cartridge. Some cartridges come with spare discs or you can buy discs separately.
