Self Employment second grant

I need some advice please. I am self employed and have 2 jobs. My main work i started back on w/c 15th June. I was able to work 2.5 days that week, and ongoing since, apart from one day. I have also been paid my commission from a company for a job i got over the line back in January. They paid up the commission this month. My second job (doing social media for a company) i haven't done since March (still not back doing it), its minimal money. Do you think i'm eligible as I'm getting paid from my first job and had a commission payout this month? I won't be getting any commission for April, May and June as i had no work! Some of my clients who had made enquiries prior to March for filming locations in July have not confirmed due to coronavirus - filming production stopped in march and many productions are not starting back up until end of July. so i've lost work that may well have confirmed for July.
My earnings are down, as i get paid commission and haven't had what i normally have over the past 3 and half months.
I'm just not sure if i qualify for this second round....

The period for which your business has to be adversely affected by coronavirus to qualify for the second grant starts on 14 July. The claim will be made in August, so wait and see what actually happens.0

You probably do qualify. I assume you got the first payment? It seems that your occupation is quite precarious and you could lose employment at any time and therefore you do need extra financial help. You should apply in August. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Although I do carry out careful research before posting and never intend to mislead or supply out-of-date or incorrect information, please do not rely 100% on what you are reading. As it's only 11th July today then no one can answer the OP's question on whether they qualify or not. They will have to wait and see.

Advice please. I claimed the first grant as the building site I worked on shut down for a short period and then I worked reduced hours for a few weeks. I now am working full time again but having to work 8 to 10 hours a week more than usual as having to do other sub contractors work that have not returned due to social distancing rules on site etc. So I am being effected in the opposite way. i.e. doing more hours for about the same money I would have previously earned. I have also had to buy extra PPE, face masks etc.. obviously on my tax return it will not show much of a drop in income but it also wont show the amount of extra work I have had to do to earn the same. Although im a self employed sole trader I work mainly for one company on CIS. The job that I now do for them has changed from being on the tools and supervising the site, to mainly site management across several sites. so different from pre covid as the employed staff are still on furlough. so little change in income as such, but a large change in workload to achieve it. How do I stand for second grant?????0

Your business has to be adversely affected, rather than you personally. If your profits fall because you get paid less than you would have but for coronavirus, or your costs (for example having to buy PPE) go up more than your income, that would count as adversely affected.0
